What is a learning pod?
A learning pod is a group of students (usually homeschooled) who meet a few times a week and work on core and elective education subjects. Our pod is taught by individuals with educational backgrounds, where we work along side parents to meet the needs of individual students.
Is there tuition to attend the pod?
There is tuition associated with our pod. Please contact us for more information on our current pricing.
Do parents stay during the school day?
No, this is a drop off program. We have many opportunities for parent involvement throughout the school year.
What does a typical day look like when you meet?
Students arrive at 9:30am, where we begin our day with a whole group activity. We then transition into our math and ELA rotations (10:00am-11:30am) where students are grouped based on their academic ability (groups of 6-7 students). There are three-30 minute rotations where students meet with all 3 teachers. We work on phonics, fluency, comprehension, writing, basic reading skills, etc. for ELA and math skills based on the students level. From 11:30am-12:10pm students have whole group lunch/recess. Our afternoon begins with either art or physical education (on a rotating basis) and then is followed by either science or social studies (rotates on a monthly basis). Students are picked up at 1:30pm and our day is concluded.
Do you teach religion?
We are strictly a secular group. We do not teach any religion in our program.
